Inspiration
The form was inspired by the cone of vision. The form of a cone has two different diagrams creating different views. The three-dimensional form provides a comfortable space that feels private.
Zone has three different sized circles, and one oval, connected by rivets. The long slot allows for play-fullness, and the creation of diverse patterns .Rivet heads have different shapes, for different identities. Chose your color combination, and make your own personal Zone. Flip mo-duals front the create different dimensions.
Component
Zone divider have four different size of elements. Customer can chose amount of numbers of each size and customize the patterns. Also, it can made up with one size.

Material
Unlike virgin polyester, recycled polyester uses reclaimed PET as the raw material. This is the same material that is used in clear plastic water bottles, and recycling it prevents it from going to landfill. This yarn is then baled, dyed and knitted into polyester felt.
This material is good for sound absorption and it is used in movie theaters, office walls, furniture, house decorations and wall dividers.

Industry Collabolation

Burgeree values environmental protection through materials. They also accomplish a higher standard of sustainability, each and every year. At Burgeree, CNC was used through a heat press mold to make the medium size mo-dual. Water jets were used to cut the ovals.
Connection Detail
Zone space divider will be installed with curtain rod with leather connector. Warm and soft texture of the leather balance two materials.
Packaging
Easy Packing & Stacking
10 pieces will be stacked together as a set for the package. Cardboard material of the package is light weight to deliver to everywhere.

Zone space divider will absorb the noise in public area. It can be utilized as installation in hotel, gallery and public transition area.

Ideation
Scale Modle
1/4 Scale
I used 3D-printing to make a 1/4” scale model, and spray painted it with color for a vibrant feeling. Assembling the parts to make the pattern for my space encloser, used earrings to connect each elements.
Connection
Connection to the Each Elements
Focus on how to connect the en-closer to the bar. Figuring out the design language to fit with the from language. I used the laser cutting machine to duplicate the connections. Sanding and giving fillet to the edge to keep clean and strong.The rivet height is based on the thickness of the material. The cap is also a circle shape which follows the form. I made them metallic black so as not to stand out but join the objects together.
